Insurance & Protection Options

At Emilda’s Ventures, your safety and peace of mind are our top priorities. When renting a vehicle in Cyprus, we offer a range of insurance and protection options to suit your needs. These terms apply to all rentals made through emildasventures.com.

1. Included Insurance – Third-Party Liability (TPL)

All rentals automatically include Third-Party Liability Insurance, which is mandatory under Cypriot law. This covers:

  • Injury or death to third parties

  • Damage to third-party property

  • Coverage limit as per local regulations

Note: TPL does not cover damage to the rental vehicle or theft.

2. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW)

Optional – Recommended

CDW limits your financial liability for damage to the rental vehicle, excluding tires, glass, undercarriage, roof, and interior.

  • Standard deductible applies (amount varies based on vehicle type)

  • Does not cover damage due to negligence, off-road driving, or breach of rental terms

  • Optional upgrade: Super CDW to reduce or eliminate excess

3. Theft Protection (TP)

Optional – Recommended

Covers the cost of the car if it is stolen during the rental period, provided proper police documentation is filed.

  • Does not cover theft due to negligence (e.g. keys left inside the vehicle)

  • Combined with CDW as Full Protection Package for discounted rates

4. Full Protection Package (FP)

Most Popular – Save on excess

Includes:

  • CDW (Collision Damage Waiver)

  • TP (Theft Protection)

  • Glass & Tire Protection

  • Roadside Assistance (24/7)

Benefits:

  • Reduced or €0 excess

  • Quicker processing in case of incidents

  • Best peace of mind for driving in unfamiliar territory

5. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)

Optional

Provides coverage for medical expenses and accidental death benefits to the driver and passengers.

  • Coverage includes hospitalization, ambulance, and medical treatment

  • Valid only while occupying the rented vehicle

6. Roadside Assistance

  • Basic roadside assistance is included in all rentals

  • Enhanced roadside coverage is available for issues like tire change, lost keys, battery failure, or towing outside city limits

7. Important Notes

  • Insurance is void in cases of DUI, off-roading, or illegal use

  • Any damage must be reported to Emilda’s Ventures and the Cyprus Police within 24 hours

  • Always review your coverage and consider adding protections based on your travel plans
